Sakiko and R.J.s Class Notes

October has been a truly special month for us all! Embracing adventure, discovery, and learning amidst the beauty of fall has been such a lovely way to celebrate the season.

We shared an exciting and joy-filled month together! The crisp autumn air and the colorful leaves made the perfect backdrop for singing and drumming with Music Mike. Surrounded by trees, we played an array of drums, feeling the rhythm of the season all around us.

Throughout the month, we continued to explore new topics in our garden and science classes, deepening our curiosity and connection to the world. We also enjoyed three special visits. The first was from our local fire department, where firefighters taught us about fire safety and gave us a tour of their big red fire engine! As part of our Journalism unit, we welcomed Pat, a journalist and friend of our science teacher, Ryan. Pat generously shared stories from her experiences working with several major newspapers and news stations. Finally, Lula’s godmother, Gabby, visited our class to share her stunning collection of crystal gems and handmade jewelry — a sparkling highlight of our month!

Our class newsletter continues to grow with enthusiasm and creativity. Our latest issue even features our first Editor in Chief! We are so proud of all the students’ hard work, collaboration, and curiosity. November is sure to bring even more exciting learning adventures to share!
